The Company
Our client is a highly regarded government organisation dedicated to delivering essential services across NSW. They are currently seeking a motivated and community-focused Training & Community Engagement Officer to join their team. This organisation plays a vital role in supporting communities across the state, with the successful candidate able to be based anywhere within NSW.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting strategic community engagement and training initiatives tailored to targeted stakeholder groups.
This opportunity offers an immediate start on an initial 6-month contract, with strong potential for extension.


The Job
Reporting into the Project Manager, in this exciting Training Coordinator  contract, you will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Works with delivery partners including TAFE and group training organisations.
  • Develops and runs apprenticeship and vocational training programs.
  • Coordinates host employer arrangements and training sessions in communities.
  • Ensure projects stay on time, on budget, and within scope.
  • Build stakeholder relationships for engagement and training.
  • Participate in outreach activities.
  • Research and provide recommendations for planning.
   
You
To be successful for this Training and Community Engagement contract, you must have experience with the following:
  • Current driver’s licence with the ability and willingness to travel long distances across regional and remote areas.
  • Previous experience within the building and construction industry.
  • Knowledge of TAFE, group training organisations, or vocational education and training (VET) systems.
  • Demonstrated project management experience with the successful delivery of structured programs.
  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander  communities or delivering programs within remote communities.
  • Understanding of government-funded housing, infrastructure, or community development initiatives.
