The Company
Our client is a highly regarded NSW Government department known for its critical role in supporting the community. They offer a supportive, inclusive work environment and are committed to hiring skilled and passionate professionals.

They are urgently seeking candidates for the following roles as part of an emergency response project:

  • Logistics Support Officer
  • Finance Support Officer
  • Call Centre Officer – Emergency Response
These roles are open to candidates based anywhere in NSW,  with office locations available across NSW.

  
The Job
Reporting through to the Manager, you will be accountable for:

Logistics Support
  • Coordinate delivery and distribution of equipment, supplies, and personnel
  • Manage transport logistics, accommodation, and site setup for response teams
  • Ensure safety, welfare, and operational readiness across field locations
  • Liaise with vendors and agencies to maintain smooth logistical operations
Finance Support
  • Process payments, reimbursements, and maintain accurate financial records
  • Support procurement, contract management, and compensation tracking
  • Monitor payroll and timekeeping for deployed staff
  • Assist with budgeting, reporting, and compliance during emergency operations
Call Centre Officer
  • Respond to public inquiries with professionalism and empathy
  • Record and escalate key information from calls and reports
  • Stay updated on incident details and follow communication protocols
  • Contribute to data accuracy and team safety through diligent reporting

You
To be successful for this opportunity, you must have experience in the following areas and possess the below personal qualities:
  • At least 12 months’ experience in a similar operational, support, or finance role ideally within the public sector, non-profit, or emergency response sectors. 
  • Demonstrated experience in logistics, finance administration, or customer service, with an ability to quickly adapt between tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage empathetically and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders, including community members and response teams.
  • Proficiency in digital systems, with confidence using multiple databases, online tools, and reporting platforms to manage information accurately and efficiently.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with a calm, solutions-focused approach in high-volume, fast-paced environments.
