The Role
Reporting to the Credit Manager, you'll lead a team of four analysts and hold credit authority across a diverse commercial asset finance book. Day to day, you'll be:
- Assessing and approving commercial asset finance applications within your DLA, including complex, high value, and out of policy transactions
- Providing detailed credit commentary and well reasoned recommendations on escalated deals
- Leading, coaching, and developing your team of four analysts — setting quality benchmarks and supporting their progression
- Working closely with internal stakeholders, brokers, and introducers to keep deals moving efficiently from application to approval
- Serving as the escalation point for complex broker and customer queries, resolving issues with commercial judgement and speed
You're a seasoned asset finance credit professional who knows the product, understands risk, and can lead a team without losing sight of the deal. You'll bring:
- 5+ years in commercial asset finance credit, operating at Senior Analyst or Team Leader level
- Proven experience leading or mentoring a credit team, with a track record of lifting team capability
- A current or previously held DLA
- Deep knowledge of asset finance structures, products, and risk frameworks
- Degree qualified in accounting, finance, or a related discipline
- A decisive, solutions focused approach — you back your judgement and can articulate and defend your position
