The Job
As the Senior Manager Enterprise Compliance, you will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the enterprise compliance framework, ensuring a consistent, robust, and practical approach to compliance management across the organisation. You will work closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders to strengthen compliance capability, manage risk, and enhance organisational accountability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the design, implementation, and ongoing maturity of enterprise-wide compliance frameworks, strategies, tools, and governance practices.
- Establishing and managing core compliance obligations that address legal, regulatory, reputational, and financial risks.
- Driving organisational awareness, accountability, and capability through effective compliance programs, training, coaching, and guidance.
- Developing and implementing frameworks for obligations management, attestations, and compliance monitoring.
- Providing expert advice to senior stakeholders on compliance risks, emerging issues, and best-practice approaches.
- Leading the preparation of compliance reporting, analysis, and insights, including the identification of key exposures, trends, and breaches.
- Partnering with legal, audit, risk, and business stakeholders to ensure an integrated approach to compliance management.
- Developing enterprise-wide insights and thematic analysis to support risk mitigation and strategic decision-making.
- Influencing and engaging stakeholders across a large and complex organisation to drive a strong compliance culture.
- Coaching and mentoring team members to deliver high-quality outcomes and support capability development.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen compliance maturity, governance, and organisational performance.
You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Significant experience in compliance, risk, audit, governance, or regulatory functions within a large and complex organisation.
- Proven experience developing, implementing, and continuously improving enterprise compliance frameworks and programs.
- Strong knowledge of governance, compliance management principles, risk frameworks, and regulatory obligations.
- Experience engaging with and influencing executive leaders and senior stakeholders across diverse business areas.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse complex issues, identify risks, and develop practical, strategic solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted partnerships and drive organisational outcomes.
- Experience preparing and presenting compliance analysis, reporting, insights, and recommendations to senior audiences.
- A track record of leading change, embedding compliance capability, and improving organisational maturity.
- Well-developed leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, law, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
