As a Senior Lending Specialist, you’ll take the lead in delivering tailored mortgage solutions while working in a fast-paced, dynamic setting. Reporting to the Lending Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Manage the end-to-end lending process, with a strong focus on mortgage products.
- Proactively engage with internal teams and external stakeholders to generate and qualify leads.
- Build and maintain strong referral networks to drive new business opportunities.
- Assess and structure complex lending applications, ensuring compliance with credit policies and regulatory requirements.
- Provide tailored solutions and advice to clients, guiding them through the mortgage process from enquiry to settlement.
- Negotiate and present lending options, balancing client needs with business objectives.
- Prepare high-quality credit submissions and support loan approval processes.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring a seamless and positive client experience.
To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following areas and possess the below personal qualities:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in mortgage lending, with a proven track record of converting leads into settled loans.
- Strong understanding of credit policies, compliance, and regulatory requirements within the Australian lending market.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with internal teams, referral partners, and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain complex lending solutions clearly.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment while delivering outstanding client experiences.
