The Company...
Our client is a highly regarded government organisation currently seeking a dedicated Senior Events Coordinator to join their Projects team, based in a hybrid role between working from home and their Sydney CBD office.

This organisation leads the delivery of major events across NSW, and this role will provide key support to the Head of Projects on Australia's largest arts festival.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in events and project management. This is a contract role, commencing ASAP and running through to July 2026. Please note, this role is 4 days a week.


The Job...
During this exciting Events Coordinator contract, you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinate day-to-day business operations, finance, admin, and procurement for the event team
  • Manage contracts, budgets, invoicing, and financial reporting
  • Support grant applications, procurement processes, and contractor onboarding
  • Handle stakeholder enquiries and maintain documentation and registers
  • Prepare reports, briefs, and correspondence in line with organisational standards
  • Support workflow improvements and implement systems (CRM, finance, contracts)
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of event objectives
  • Provide general admin support and assist with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
   
You...
To be successful in this Senior Events role, you must have experience in the following: 
  • Proven experience coordinating large-scale events with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience working within government or tourism sectors (highly regarded)
  • Strong background in project management, administration, and financial coordination
  • High-level organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Proficiency in using business systems such as CRM platforms, finance tools, and workflow systems
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
