The Job
Reporting to the Credit Manager, you will mentor and lead a team of four analysts while taking ownership of the following:
- Assessing and approving commercial asset finance applications within your delegation, including complex and high value transactions
- Providing considered recommendations and detailed credit commentary on applications outside of policy
- Mentoring and developing a team of four credit analysts, setting quality standards and supporting their professional growth
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy and efficiency from application through to approval
- Acting as an escalation point for customer and broker queries, resolving issues with speed and professionalism
To be successful in this opportunity, you will bring:
- 5+ years experience in commercial asset finance credit assessment, with a strong track record at a Senior Analyst or Team Leader level
- Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, or mentoring a credit team
- A current or previously held DLA
- Deep understanding of asset finance products, structures, and risk frameworks
- Degree qualified in accounting, finance, or a related discipline
- A decisive, solutions focused mindset with strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to present and defend credit decisions
