Due to continued growth, a vacancy exists for a Senior Commercial Collections Officer to manage a portfolio of Vestone Capital’s broker and vendor partners. You’ll play a key role in maintaining strong relationships while driving effective outcomes through providing attentive service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage overdue asset finance accounts and drive effective collection strategies.
- Perform detailed accounts receivable and reconciliation tasks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support audit processes by maintaining thorough documentation and records.
- Prepare and analyse reports using Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas) to track performance and identify trends.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to resolve payment issues and negotiate recovery solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex account discrepancies and escalate issues when necessary.
- Contribute to loss recovery efforts through proactive engagement and strategic follow-up.
- Assist with month-end reporting and support financial audits as required.
- You will ideally bring at least three years of experience in commercial collections, along with demonstrated proficiency in reconciling complex accounts using Excel.
- Strong knowledge of Debt Collection Guidelines and the Privacy Act.
- Proven relationship management and communication skills.
- Experience handling hardship and IDR complaints.
- Resilient, solution focused, detail oriented and comfortable working in a busy, fast paced environment.
