The Job
In this pivotal role, you’ll take ownership of a recoveries portfolio, working to achieve fair and commercially sound resolutions while maintaining empathy and professionalism. Day to day, you will:
- Manage recovery accounts across automotive and asset finance products.
- Contact customers to negotiate repayment plans, settlements, and asset returns in line with policy.
- Liaise with external partners including solicitors, mercantile agents, and auction houses.
- Assess risk and recommend recovery strategies to optimise portfolio performance.
- Maintain detailed, compliant records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
You
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- Minimum 3 years experience in recoveries, collections, or hardship within finance, asset, or consumer lending.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to handle complex conversations with empathy and confidence.
- Strong commercial acumen and sound understanding of compliance and credit principles.
- High attention to detail and proficiency in using collections or lending systems.
