A well-respected and rapidly growing NSW Government organisation is seeking an experienced Project Officer to support the project team across governance, policy and general project activities.
The successful candidate must have prior government experience.
This role is offered on an initial 3-month contract, based in Mascot, with hybrid working arrangements available.

Reporting to the Project Manager in this versatile Project Officer role, you will be responsible for:
- Provide project management support to deliver outcomes on time, within budget and scope.
- Develop and report on initiatives supporting government priorities and reforms.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform planning and decision-making.
- Prepare and edit departmental and ministerial briefs and correspondence.
- Deliver high-level secretariat support, including agendas, minutes and follow-up actions.
- Prepare papers and advice on policy and program issues for senior stakeholders.
- Coordinate stakeholders, working groups and consultations to support project delivery.

To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following:
- Minimum 12 months’ experience working in a government environment.
- We strongly encourage candidates from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and other diverse backgrounds to apply.
- Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
