This respected ACT Government department plays a key role in driving the Territory’s development and delivering high-quality services. Following the launch of a significant 10-year initiative, the department is seeking an experienced Manager, Partnerships to urgently support the Director in developing key frameworks and procedures.

This is a contract role, commencing ASAP and running through to 15 December 2025, with flexible hybrid work arrangements based out of Woden. It's an excellent opportunity for a seasoned partnerships professional with experience in the commercial and/or public sector.


The Job…
Reporting into the Director, Partnerships, in this Manager role, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Lead strategic commercial and partnership projects with industry, government, and community stakeholders.
  • Identify and develop opportunities that support financial sustainability and workforce capability goals.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to shape and implement impactful partnership initiatives.
  • Drive transformation in business development culture through proactive delivery of commercial and partnership activities.
  • Enhance systems and campaigns that support business development and stakeholder engagement.
  • Contribute to the design and development of new training products and services for priority markets.

To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following areas:
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across government, industry, and community.
  • Proven experience in business development or partnerships in VET or tertiary sectors.
  • Effective project management with ability to meet competing deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including negotiation and advice.
  • Ability to prioritise, show initiative, and adapt in fast-paced environments.
  • Skilled in preparing proposals and leading stakeholder discussions.
  • Knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn, VET and government policy settings.
