The Job….
   
Reporting through to the Commercial Team Leader, you will be responsible for the following duties:  

  • Manage a portfolio of accounts aged 7 to 100 days in arrears, including those involving potential fraud or non-payment.
  • Liaise with external legal firms to progress accounts through the legal recovery process.
  • Work closely with internal teams including collections management, compliance and in-house legal counsel.
  • Conduct or coordinate skip tracing activities as needed to locate customers or assets.
  • Prepare documentation and instructions for external legal representatives and ensure accurate case progression.
  • Attend monthly meetings with external legal firm.
  • Collaborate with the on-site enforcement team for matters involving repossession and enforcement actions.
  • Monitor case timelines and ensure adherence to internal policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain comprehensive, accurate records in line with compliance obligations.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, legal contacts and internal stakeholders to resolve matters efficiently.    
About You:
   
To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following areas and posses the below personal qualities:  
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience within legal recoveries.
  • Strong understanding of financial services products, including secured and unsecured lending.
  • Confident liaising with legal stakeholders and handling complex accounts.
  • Proficient in skip tracing techniques and tools.
  • Solid working knowledge of relevant legislation, compliance requirements and recovery processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive and solutions-focused, with strong investigative and analytical skills.
