Hardship Officer: 

  • Assess and process financial hardship applications in line with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Engage with customers to understand their financial situations and offer appropriate solutions.
  • Negotiate repayment arrangements and discuss alternative options to assist customers in distress.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure efficient case management.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Provide empathetic and professional support to customers in challenging circumstances.    
Collections (6 month fixed term contract):
  • Managing a portfolio of overdue asset finance accounts (consumer and commercial)
  • Identifying high-risk accounts and addressing them proactively
  • Liaising with internal teams to resolve outstanding issues and deliver customer-focused solutions
  • Recommending improvements to existing processes and procedures where appropriate
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction while supporting the company’s credit and collections goals
Legal Recoveries Officer:
  • Manage the legal side of asset recovery for secured auto loans
  • Engage with external mercantile agents and auction houses to locate customers and recover assets
  • Work closely with external legal partners to pursue recovery through legal channels
  • Self-manage a portfolio of delinquent accounts and negotiate recovery solutions
  • Support internal recovery strategies and contribute to continuous process improvement
  • Ensure all activity complies with regulatory and privacy requirements
  • Assess risk, implement tailored recovery strategies, and maintain accurate documentation
You…..
Ideally you will have:
  • Proven experience in collections, preferably within the banking and finance industry.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations, including the National Consumer Credit Protection Act and the Banking Code of Practice.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine interest in helping individuals to develop better financial habits, providing guidance, and facilitating workable repayment solutions to help them regain financial stability.
