As Group Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in delivering financial excellence, driving process improvements, and elevating the finance function to support the organization's continued growth.

Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Lead the group month end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
- Prepare and review consolidated monthly management accounts for the group
- Manage intercompany reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of balances across all entities
- Prepare consolidated financial statements for half-year and full-year reporting periods
- Manage the half-year and full-year audit processes, serving as the primary liaison with external auditors
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements (APRA) and tax obligations
- Oversee and enhance ECL (Expected Credit Loss) modelling and related credit risk provisioning, ensuring robust and compliant methodologies that align with accounting standards
- Partner with Risk and Credit teams to continually improve ECL assumptions, inputs, and forecasts
- Drive continuous improvement of financial controls, policies, and accounting procedures
- Contribute to group level budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial analysis
- Collaborate with the CFO Office on strategic initiatives and project delivery
- Lead and develop a team of 7 finance professionals
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven track record of delivering tangible improvements to finance processes, systems and reporting frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to reduce month end close cycles and improve reporting turnaround times
- Strong technical accounting skills with in-depth knowledge of financial principles and regulations specific to financial services
- Proven experience in ECL modelling and credit risk provisioning, with the ability to interpret and apply IFRS 9 standards confidently
- Hands-on approach with the ability to roll up your sleeves while also thinking strategically
- Experience leading and developing finance teams, fostering continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present financial information clearly to stakeholders at all levels
- Data-driven mindset with a focus on actionable insights and process optimization
