The Company
Our client is a highly regarded local council committed to delivering positive outcomes for the NSW community. With major projects and strategic initiatives underway, they are seeking 2 x Senior FP&A Analysts and 1 x FP&A Analyst to provide high-quality financial analysis and reporting to senior executives.

These contract opportunities offer an immediate start through to 30 June 2027, with flexible hybrid working arrangements based in Sydney CBD, within a collaborative and supportive team.


The Job
Supporting the Director, Financial Analysis, you will be mainly responsible for the following duties:

Senior FP&A Analyst 
  • Lead financial reporting, analysis and performance insights to support decision-making.
  • Oversee reporting accuracy, compliance and timeliness.
  • Develop reporting systems, analytics and process improvements.
  • Deliver financial insights, visualisations and recommendations on complex business issues.
  • Drive improvements across financial systems, data and reporting processes.
FP&A Analyst 
  • Prepare financial reports, forecasts, analysis and submissions.
  • Provide financial advice, costing and analysis for projects and initiatives.
  • Support financial statements, compliance and statutory reporting.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to stakeholders.
  • Develop and improve financial policies, processes and systems.
  • Monitor financial data and KPIs to provide accurate business insights

You

To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following areas:
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar finance or FP&A role, supported by tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related discipline.
  • Strong accounting experience within a commercial and/or public sector environment.
  • CPA or CA qualified.
  • Proven expertise in management accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
  • Commercially astute, proactive and self-motivated, with a strong focus on delivering outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
