The Role:
As a Compliance Analyst, you'll act as the dedicated compliance partner for the Australian Sales team. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives on autonomy, enjoys problem-solving in real time, and wants to make a visible impact on the business.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting customer due diligence (CDD) and investigating financial crime risks using internal systems and open source intelligence.
- Advising the business on AML, Sanctions, and Anti-Bribery & Corruption matters.
- Supporting the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) in the design and enhancement of AML frameworks across global jurisdictions.
- Reviewing customer activity to identify and escalate suspicious transactions.
- Drafting and updating customer contracts in collaboration with Legal and Sales.
- Identifying process gaps and driving improvements to strengthen controls.
- 1–2 years’ experience in AML, financial crime, or related compliance roles.
- Strong understanding of AML and financial crime regulations (fintech experience highly regarded).
- A self starter comfortable owning decisions and working with autonomy.
- Clear and confident communicator, able to influence and collaborate effectively.
- Commercially astute, balancing risk with growth and operational pace.
- Motivated, well organised, and adaptable in a dynamic, fast evolving setting.
