The Job….
Reporting through to the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Prepare month end financial statements across multiple entities in line with accounting standards
- Manage the month end and year end close processing including journal entries, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
- Demonstrated ability across the full end to end reporting cycle
- Year-end reporting and audit requirements
- Cash flow forecasting
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and actual vs budget variance analysis
- Help with preparing consolidated financial performance to the business for board reporting purposes
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to support data driven enhancements in order to deliver business objectives
- Adhoc projects such as process flow improvements
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Proven track record working as a Financial Accountant, a lending or financial services background is a bonus but not essential
- Experience of full account consolidations (including multi-entity eliminations)
- Track record in preparing financial statements
- Knowledge of financial accounting for expected credit losses (ECL) in line with the relevant accounting standards
- In-depth knowledge of accounting standards such as IFRS 9 for purchased originated credit impaired assets (POCI)
- Genuine love of business partnering, implementing system efficiencies, or suggesting business improvements
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Passion for continual learning and development
- Enjoy working as part of a team in a collaborative fashion
