The Job….
Reporting through to the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Prepare month end financial statements across multiple entities in line with accounting standards
  • Manage the month end and year end close processing including journal entries, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Demonstrated ability across the full end to end reporting cycle
  • Year-end reporting and audit requirements
  • Cash flow forecasting
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting and actual vs budget variance analysis
  • Help with preparing consolidated financial performance to the business for board reporting purposes
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to support data driven enhancements in order to deliver business objectives
  • Adhoc projects such as process flow improvements
You…..
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
  • Proven track record working as a Financial Accountant, a lending or financial services background is a bonus but not essential  
  • Experience of full account consolidations (including multi-entity eliminations)
  • Track record in preparing financial statements
  • Knowledge of financial accounting for expected credit losses (ECL) in line with the relevant accounting standards
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting standards such as IFRS 9 for purchased originated credit impaired assets (POCI)
  • Genuine love of business partnering, implementing system efficiencies, or suggesting business improvements
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Passion for continual learning and development
  • Enjoy working as part of a team in a collaborative fashion
