About:
You'll be working with a 14-year-old non-bank lender that's built a solid reputation across both commercial and consumer finance. This isn't about starting from scratch—it's about leveraging your existing financial services or corporate accounting experience in a new market, with a business that values technical depth and strategic thinking.
You'll work across multiple entities within one group, gaining exposure to the full spectrum of financial operations — from loan portfolio reporting to preparation of month end accounts, group consolidations to financial insights.
What you'll be doing:
- Month end and year end close across multiple entities (journals, accruals, reconciliations)
- GL and bank reconciliations, AP/AR management, fixed asset register maintenance
- Group consolidations including intercompany eliminations and consolidated financial statements
- BAS and FBT preparation and lodgment for Australian tax compliance
- Audit coordination—liaise with external auditors and manage year-end audit requirements
- Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis—drive financial planning and insights as required
- Process improvement initiatives including automation, system enhancements, operational efficiency
- Have 3+ years financial services or corporate accounting experience
- Are technically strong with financial statements, multi-entity reporting, and financial controls
- Understand banking, lending, or financial services operations (loans, credit, funding, etc.)
- Are detail-oriented and commercially savvy—you see how finance drives business strategy
- Can adapt quickly to new systems and Australian accounting/tax requirements
- Have exposure to IFRS, group consolidations, or management reporting
- Enjoy working as part of a team in a collaborative fashion
