The Role...
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you’ll be part of a collaborative finance team responsible for:
- Manage month-end close including journals, accruals, and financial reporting across multiple entities
- General ledger and bank account reconciliations
- Support the consolidation of financial statements, including intercompany eliminations
- Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
- Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate depreciation and asset tracking
- Managing month end and year end close processes including journals, accruals, and reconciliations
- Support year end reporting and audit requirements
- Prepare and lodge BAS and FBT returns in compliance with ATO regulations
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Preparing consolidated financial performance reports for board-level insights
- Contributing to cash flow forecasting and financial modelling
- Partnering with internal stakeholders to drive process improvements and system enhancements
- Assist with year-end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors
- Participating in ad hoc projects focused on automation and efficiency
This role is ideal for someone coming from a business services, commercial or accounting firm who’s ready to take the next step into financial services. You’ll bring:
- A solid foundation in financial reporting and compliance
- Experience preparing financial statements and working across multiple entities
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset
- A passion for learning and a desire to grow within financial services
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Exposure to IFRS and consolidations is a bonus, but not essential
