Our client is a growing and successful organisation that makes a significant contribution to NSW and the broader Australian community. With several key projects and initiatives underway, they are seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to provide strategic and operational financial advice and support effective business decision-making.
This is an ASAP start contract through to 31 January 2027, with the potential for extension.
The Job
Reporting into the Associate Director, you will be mainly responsible for the following duties:
- Build strong partnerships with business units and Finance Branch stakeholders to optimise financial performance.
- Identify emerging issues and provide strategic financial advice to support effective business decisions.
- Monitor financial performance, analyse trends and recommend improvements to achieve business outcomes.
- Promote compliance, good governance and effective financial risk management.
- Provide financial reporting, insights and support the implementation of financial processes and best practices.
To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following areas:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Finance Business Partnering, supported by relevant tertiary qualifications in business, finance or accounting.
- Strong expertise in management accounting, financial analysis, reporting and budgeting.
- Experience using SAP and advanced Excel skills.
- NSW Government experience highly regarded.
