They are currently seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner with a strong background in providing both strategic and operational financial advice across capital works programs within the public sector.
This is an ASAP start contract through to 23 December 2026, with the potential for extension. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with three days per week based in Parramatta and two days working from home.
The Job
Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will be mainly responsible for the following duties:
- Prepare and maintain performance reporting and monthly forecasting models for allocated entities and cost centres
- Recommend and implement improvements to reporting and processes to improve outcomes
- Support preparation of the annual budget aligned to organisational and government priorities
- Prepare briefs, reports and advice on complex financial matters
- Build strong stakeholder relationships to support reporting and forecasting needs
- Provide financial analysis to support business cases and decision-making
- Deliver finance initiatives in partnership with stakeholders to improve performance
To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following areas:
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a Senior Finance or Business Partnering role, with relevant tertiary qualifications in business, finance or accounting
- Strong experience in management accounting, financial analysis, reporting and budgeting
- Experience using SAP
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience in capital works and/or utilities programs (highly regarded)
- NSW Government experience (highly regarded)
