The Company
Our client is a leading Australian jewellery manufacturer renowned for its quality craftsmanship, innovation, and exceptional customer service. Combining traditional techniques with advanced manufacturing technology, they deliver end to end jewellery production solutions to a broad network of retail jewellers and industry partners across Australia.
Operating from a modern manufacturing facility in Marrickville, their commitment to precision, efficiency, and continuous improvement has established them as a trusted name within the Australian jewellery industry.
With a collaborative and supportive culture, the company values teamwork, technical excellence, and ongoing professional development.

The Job
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating the workflow of CAD and CAM projects from initial customer enquiry through to production. This is not an entry-level or trainee position — it requires someone with genuine jewellery manufacturing experience who can read a job with a jeweller's eye and make sound production calls.

You will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Reviewing and interpreting client product briefs, drawing on your own manufacturing knowledge to assess what's actually required.
  • Identifying and obtaining any missing technical or production information directly from clients.
  • Translating client requirements into a clear, comprehensive manufacturing brief.
  • Determining and coordinating the most appropriate production pathway — whether local bespoke manufacturing, offshore production, laser cutting, hand fabrication, or coin pressing.
  • Allocating CAD work to internal and external drafting resources.
  • Coordinating communication between customers, CAD drafters, CAM operators, and production teams.
  • Monitoring job progress, following up on revisions, approvals, and production timelines.
  • Maintaining accurate job records and documentation within internal systems.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve workflow efficiency and support continuous process improvement.
You
This role is suited to an experienced jeweller looking to transition from a hands-on bench role into a broader operational or project coordination position — leveraging your industry expertise while advancing your career. To be successful, you will bring:
  • A solid, demonstrated background in jewellery manufacturing.
  • The confidence to interpret technical specifications and make informed production pathway decisions based on real manufacturing knowledge.
  • Strong computer and administrative skills, or a genuine willingness to build on them.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple jobs simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills, with the confidence to liaise with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
How to Apply
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced jeweller to step into a varied and rewarding coordination role within a supportive, collaborative team. To apply, submit your application to jquigley@sbrecruitment.com or contact Jenny Quigley on 02 9002 5005 for a confidential discussion.
