They are currently seeking a motivated Engineering Traffic Officer to join their high-performing and dynamic Traffic Management Unit. This is an exciting opportunity offering hybrid working arrangements from their Sydney CBD office, with an immediate start through to 18 December 2026.
The Job
Reporting through to a Manager, Traffic Engineering, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Respond to customer enquiries regarding traffic safety and parking changes.
- Support efficient traffic flow, parking and road safety across the City’s road network.
- Analyse traffic data to identify issues and develop practical solutions.
- Provide clear advice to residents, businesses and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare reports and provide technical support to the Local Traffic Committee.
You
To qualify for this opportunity, you must have experience in the following areas and possess the personal qualities below:
- 1–5 years’ experience in a similar traffic engineering role.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to prepare plans, reports and approval documentation.
- Strong knowledge of traffic engineering guidelines and standards, with experience developing plans, reports and recommendations.
- Relevant experience resolving complex traffic and transport issues.
- Strong analytical, communication and project management skills.
- Current Class C Driver’s Licence is desirable.
