The Job
Reporting to the CAD/CAM Manager, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating the workflow of CAD and CAM projects from initial customer enquiry through to production. Acting as the central point of communication between customers, designers, and production teams, you'll ensure jobs are accurately briefed, efficiently managed, and delivered on time.
You will be responsible for the following duties:
- Reviewing incoming CAD and CAM requests, customer specifications, and technical requirements.
- Allocating CAD work to internal and external drafting resources.
- Preparing detailed job briefs to ensure accurate production outcomes.
- Liaising with customers to clarify specifications and obtain any outstanding information.
- Coordinating communication between customers, CAD drafters, CAM operators, and production teams.
- Monitoring job progress, following up on revisions, approvals, and production timelines.
- Maintaining accurate job records and documentation within internal systems.
- Identifying opportunities to improve workflow efficiency and support continuous process improvement.
You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Previous experience in a CAD, CAM, production administration, manufacturing coordination, customer service, or similar role (jewellery industry experience will be highly regarded).
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple jobs simultaneously.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to liaise with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP systems will be highly regarded.
