The Role
As Credit Analyst reporting to the Credit Team Leader, you'll be at the heart of the credit assessment process for consumer lending and asset finance applications. Your day-to-day will include:
- Analysing credit applications by reviewing credit reports, bank statements, and supporting documentation to build a complete picture of each applicant
- Making sound credit decisions on consumer credit applications, balancing risk assessment with responsible lending obligations and regulatory requirements
- Working collaboratively across internal teams and external partners to ensure applications are accurate, compliant, and progress smoothly through to settlement
- Acting as a key point of contact for credit related enquiries, both internally and externally
The ideal candidate will have:
- Ideally you will have at least 12 months' experience as a Credit Analyst assessing consumer credit applications or perhaps you are from a settlements background looking to move into credit?
- Previous or current credit delegation authority (desirable but not essential – training and support will be provided for the right person)
- Strong analytical capabilities and the confidence to interpret financial data and make well-informed, defensible credit decisions
- Experience in non-conforming or specialist lending highly regarded but not essential
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple applications efficiently without compromising quality
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving
