Our client, a global SaaS company are undertaking a strategic upgrade of their billing infrastructure to Zuora that will transform how they manage their quote to cash operations. This is a critical initiative that requires dedicated focus on process documentation, stakeholder enablement, and operational excellence during the transition period.
The Role...
As a Commercial Operations Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring business continuity and operational efficiency during the billing system transformation. You'll be responsible for:
- Process mapping, documenting, and optimizing the entire quote to cash journey from initial quote creation through to cash collection
- Working closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Finance, and market operations.
- Create comprehensive documentation of how the sales team generates quotes and processes orders within Salesforce
- Develop clear, user-friendly training guides that demonstrate revenue presentation and reporting
- Partner with Sales, Finance, and operations teams to understand and document customer requirements
- Identify process gaps and improvement opportunities
- Work out ways of bridging the gap between customer needs and internal operational capabilities
- Enable smooth transaction flow and handoffs between teams
- Support the transition to the new billing platform through process standardization
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Background in commercial operations, business operations, or revenue operations using Salesforce
- Demonstrated experience developing and documenting quote to cash or order to cash processes
- Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to work across multiple departments
- Excellent organizational and project management capabilities
- Process mapping and documentation expertise
- Proficiency with Salesforce and business systems
- Experience in SaaS or subscription-based business models
- Familiarity with billing platforms (Zuora experience a plus), FP&A or commercial analysis
- Experience supporting system implementations or migrations
This role would suit a junior to mid-level FP&A professional, commercial analyst, or operations specialist looking to gain valuable experience in a high impact transformation project.
