The Job…..
Reporting to a Team Leader, you will take ownership of the collections function across a portfolio of rental and finance agreements, managing both invoice and direct debit clients. Your day to day will include:
- Daily monitoring of accounts and actioning dishonours
- Following the arrears follow up process and issuing collections correspondence
- Identifying and managing outstanding receivables from 5 to 60 days past due
- Investigating historical debt data and reconciling accounts
- Receiving inbound calls and responding to overdue account queries
- Liaising with financing partners on collection issues and default accounts
- Resolving billing disputes with clients, vendors and financiers
- Identifying billing errors and escalating to the asset services team
- Working towards team KPIs and targets
To be successful in this role you will bring a firm but empathetic approach to collections, someone who can workshop solutions with clients while keeping outcomes front of mind:
- Preferably 2 years commercia. collections experience in a banking or finance environment
- Proven background across financial services, collections or operations
- Comfortable reconciling client accounts via Excel
- Strong communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Sharp attention to detail with the ability to work to deadlines
- Confident managing both internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Experience in asset or equipment finance is highly desirable
- A positive attitude and genuine relationship building ability
