The Opportunity
An immediate temporary assignment has become available within their Sydney CBD office.
Reporting to the Collections Manager, you will support the wider collections function by managing a portfolio of consumer mortgage accounts up to 80 days in arrears.
Key responsibilities include:
- Engaging with customers to recover outstanding arrears in a professional and empathetic manner
- Negotiating and implementing tailored repayment arrangements
- Monitoring repayment plans and proactively following up on commitments
- Liaising with internal stakeholders (Customer Service, Credit, Legal) to achieve timely resolutions
- Achieving individual KPIs while contributing to a high-performing, team-focused environment

About You
To succeed in this assignment, you will bring:
- Minimum 18 months’ experience in collections within financial services OR strong customer service experience within a financial services environment
- Confidence managing sensitive conversations regarding overdue accounts
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
- A proactive mindset with the ability to quickly integrate into an established team
- Availability to commence immediately or at short notice will be highly regarded.
