The Opportunity…..
A six-week temporary assignment has become available within their Sydney CBD office. Reporting to the Collections Manager, you will support the collections team by managing a portfolio of overdue consumer mortgage accounts (up to 80 days in arrears). Key responsibilities include:
- Contacting customers to recover outstanding debts with professionalism and empathy
- Negotiating and setting up tailored repayment plans
- Monitoring ongoing agreements and following up where necessary
- Liaising with internal departments (Customer Service, Credit, Legal) and external parties to resolve issues
- Meeting KPIs within a collaborative and high-performing team
About You…..
To hit the ground running in this assignment, you’ll ideally bring:
- 12 + months’ experience in collections, preferably within financial services
- Experience with overdue mortgage accounts (advantageous but not essential)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong attention to detail and time management abilities
- A proactive and customer-centric mindset
