The Job
As a Collections Officer, you’ll play a key role in managing a portfolio of accounts in arrears. You’ll be responsible for:
- Contacting commercial customers to negotiate repayment arrangements in line with company policy and regulatory requirements
- Assessing hardship requests and working closely with customers to find sustainable solutions
- Liaising with the Recoveries team to initiate repossession and legal notices where required
- Monitoring payment performance and ensuring accurate records are maintained in internal systems
- Providing exceptional customer service while balancing commercial outcomes
You
To succeed in this role, you must have experience in the following areas and possess the below personal qualities:
- Minimum 3 years experience in commercial or consumer collections, within financial services
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- A resilient, team-focused, and customer-centric approach
