The Company
Join a dynamic organisation committed to driving positive outcomes across the community. This well-regarded NSW Government department is seeking multiple Career Transition Consultants to manage and coordinate redeployment, voluntary redundancy and excess processes. In this role, you’ll support organisational objectives while providing practical, timely support to both staff and managers through periods of change.

The contracts are available for an ASAP start through to 30 June 2026 and are based in the Sydney CBD. The successful candidate will have a background in talent acquisition, ideally with experience supporting workforce change projects.  

The Job
In these Career Transition Consultant roles, you will be responsible for the following key accountabilities:
  • Advise and support staff and managers on redeployment and transition processes.
  • Identify workforce needs and develop practical solutions.
  • Facilitate skills assessments and job matching across agencies.
  • Provide training, job search support, and resume assistance.
  • Deliver briefings on redundancy and redeployment policies.
  • Manage external service providers to meet standards.
  • Improve processes using feedback and data insights.
  • Track and report on employee transitions for compliance.
  
You
To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following:
  • Demonstrated relevant experience in a Talent Acquisition role.
  • Relevant experience in HR workforce changes projects. 
  • Proven experience coordinating activities within a large, complex organisation.
  • Must have strong stakeholder experience. 
  • Proven experience within the public sector will be highly beneficial.
  • Strong analytical and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
