The Company
Our client is a well-known government organisation dedicated to delivering great customer experiences and simplifying the way customers access Government services.

They are seeking dedicated Call Centre Operators to join their dynamic team environment in these exciting contract roles to start on 9 July 2025 until 8 January 2026, based in Newcastle!

Please note that working hours will be up to 7 hours per day / 35 hours per week. The successful contractors will be working on a 7am-7pm rotating roster, Monday to Friday.


The Job
Reporting through to a Team Leader, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Answer a high volume of inbound enquiries in a contact centre environment.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of information resources and operating practices and procedures.
  • Provide accurate and high-quality customer service, enquiry resolution, update records and complete transactions.
  • Accurately record customer complaints and escalate unresolved issues.
  • Meet privacy requirements and legislative obligations.
  • Complete ad-hoc administrative activities including processing documents and applications.
  • Utilise multiple digital data storage systems to locate, provide and update customer information and records.

You
To qualify for this opportunity, you must have experience in the following areas and possess the personal qualities below:
  • Ability to work across a rotating roster between the hours of 7am-7pm, Monday-Friday.
  • Minimum 6 months experience working in a contact centre environment.
  • Experience working within the Government Sector is desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work across several systems simultaneously.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
