Our client is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst with a strong finance and analytics background to join a growing team. The Role...
Reporting & Dashboard Development
- Design, build and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that deliver actionable insights to stakeholders across all business levels
- Write and optimise SQL queries to extract, transform and model data from our data warehouse and source systems
- Develop high performance data models that are both technically robust and user friendly
- Work closely with finance and business teams to gather requirements and translate complex business questions into technical specifications
- Present insights, findings and recommendations to diverse audiences, from technical teams to senior leadership
- Provide training and ongoing support to build data literacy and enable self-service analytics across the organisation
- Establish and maintain consistent business definitions, metrics and data standards to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Document data lineage, transformation logic and reporting methodologies for transparency and compliance
- Identify opportunities to enhance existing reports, streamline processes and improve analytics capability
- Stay informed on the latest Power BI features, industry best practices and emerging BI trends
- Contribute to the evolution of the data strategy and analytics function
- 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics or a similar role within a financial services or asset finance environment
- Proven Power BI expertise including advanced data modelling, DAX formulas and dashboard design
- Strong SQL proficiency with experience writing, optimising and troubleshooting complex queries
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
- A curious, resilient mindset with enthusiasm for continuous learning and tackling new challenges in a dynamic environment
- Understanding of data warehouse concepts, ETL processes and orchestration tools (e.g. Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory)
- Experience with data science tools or programming languages such as Python or R
- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related STEM field
