This is a temporary contract role commencing in early October 2025 and running through to 30 June 2026. The position is based in Nerang and offers the chance to gain valuable government experience while contributing to meaningful work for the community.
Working as part of the Business Services team, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Utilising a variety of programs & systems to assist with finance and accounts tasks.
- Enter and update information in finance and record-keeping systems.
- Review purchase paperwork and process orders or changes as needed.
- Compile reports and data to assist with decision making.
- Prepare documentation and ensure spreadsheets are accurate and up to date.
- Keep track of invoices, follow up on any issues, and ensure payments are made on time.

To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following areas & posses the below personal qualities:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in administration or office support.
- At least 12 months’ experience in accounts payable or finance-related support activities.
- Familiarity with finance or records management systems.
- Experience working within the government sector is highly advantageous.
- Experience preparing and maintaining spreadsheets, reports, and simple financial records.
- Ability to process invoices, purchase orders, and other transactional finance tasks accurately and on time.
- Strong attention to detail, organised and able to manage competing priorities to meet deadlines.
- Articulate with the ability to work effectively with various internal stakeholders.
